Verily, in the Messenger of Allah you have an excellent example, for everyone who looks unto Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much. (Qur'an 60:4)

Overview

Prophetic Eloquence will take place from July 21st to August 18th in peaceful Fishers, Indiana. Classes will be held at the Legacy Institute, and Friday prayers at the local mosque. Due to fewer distractions in Fishers, this location has traditionally been most beneficial in terms of student bonding and classroom concentration.

Why Prophetic Eloquence?

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that he had been sent with conciseness of speech, that is, being able to convey many nuanced and beautiful meanings with a few words. Insha Allah, this program aims to give students the Arabic language skills to understand and benefit from the eloquence and wisdom in Prophetic Hadith (narrations) and Sirah (biography) and ultimately grow in their love for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).Student will study the famous collection of hadith, Nawawi's 40, as well as other selections.

Islamic Manners by Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghudda

The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said: "I was only sent to perfect good character." "Umar (RA) would say: ‘Seek Adab, and then learn knowledge." "A man who is known for his good character has the same degree as someone who stands at night in prayer." (Narrarated by Abu Hurayra, Al-Adab al-Mufrad al-Bukhari)

This course will examine a series of hadith and their commentary in Shaykh Abdul Fattah Abu Ghuddah's excellent work, "Min Adab al Islam", or "Islamic Manners," which relates the perfect manners of the Prophet (peace be upon him), which all Muslims must strive to implement in their daily lives. "Muslims possess a great wealth in manners and styles manifested in the life of the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the lives of his companions" (Abu Ghuddah).

Chapter topics include appearance, manners of eating & drinking, relationships with people of other faiths, weddings, conversations, etc.
